Last year, I was searching for a mums’ group because I had immigrated to Australia. I didn’t have any friends. Mums At The Table is like a second family that I can sit down and have a conversation with.

I’m glad to be in this group. This group has made me a better person and look further everyday. I’m blessed for yesterday, today and tomorrow.

I feel that God has really been working in creating friendships with mums. I’ve met a few mums one-on-one now and some have really opened up to me, sharing what is troubling them, be it anxiety, relationship issues or issues with their children (like special needs).

Last year has been one of the toughest year I’ve ever had. Being a full-time mum with almost zero help from anyone really took a toll on me and kept me in the dark shadows. But it changed when I joined Mums At The Table. I’m not sure if you have any idea how you are touching the lives of other mums. I started feeling myself again, and I have seen a big change with my son. I just want to say thank you very much and I’m very glad to meet you and the playgroup mums.

It’s just me and my daughter at home. When I came to Mums At The Table for the first time to see it, I was a bit shy because everyone was new, but it was good. The group was good because I had some time out with others.

I see us as not just a meet-up place, but also a place where we can learn together and do life better.

If you’re a mummy finally ready to connect with someone (you need it!), join groups like Mums At The Table. You’ll be surprised to find great support and same women like you. Shout out to all the moderators who run it.

I’ve made a lot of new friends. Ever since coming here, I’ve learned so much. Everyone has been friendly and welcoming. It’s like extending the friendship—it’s more like a family.

It was so stressed about leaving the house with a six-week-old baby. But they got it, and I thought, I like this group. It’s nice to be able to come to these meet-ups. I’ve developed friendships and my confidence as a mother. I feel like a part of the community. There is absolutely zero judgement and I can just be myself, I can have a laugh.
Emma

I decided to become a moderator because I have a passion for supporting other mums. Being a mum is hard. At times, you feel very alone and very isolated, especially when you’ve got a baby or you’re in a new town. We get a lot of people who have moved to the area and are looking for friendship and connection. I love being able to guide them on that journey.
