For one month only, Bluey fans can experience Hammerbarn at selected Bunnings store in Australia and New Zealand. Wackadoo!
Every Aussie knew which hardware store inspired the Bluey episode “Hammerbarn”. Bunnings: The place every dad pays a pilgrimage to on the weekend. Home of sausage sizzles and everything you could possibly need for a home DIY project. Where lowest prices are just the beginning.
For the entire month of February, Bunnings is recreating the Hammerbarn experience in a collab with Bluey. Seven Bunnings Warehouses across Australia and New Zealand have been transformed into real-life Hammerbarns. On top of that, all stores will be offering free Bluey-themed kids’ DIY workshops, exclusive Bluey products (yes, even the garden gnomes), limited edition Hammerbarn-branded merchandise and more.
Hammerbarn locations
Kids (and adults) can have the full Hammerbarn experience in six different Australian states and in the North Island of New Zealand.
- Keparra, Queensland
- Munno Para, South Australia
- Cannington, Western Australia
- Glenorchy, Tasmania
- Blacktown, New South Wales
- Carrum Downs, Victoria
- Glenfield, New Zealand
What to expect
The selected Bunnings stores will be rebranded to reflect their new (temporary) names. There, you will be able to purchase the super-cute garden gnomes as featured in Bluey. Yes, even “husband material” Hecuba is up for grabs.
If garden gnomes are not quite your thing, you can also splash out on Hammerbarn-branded apparel and accessories, Bluey-inspired pet toys and Bluey craft kits.
Parents can also book their kids into a free Bluey-themed Kids DIY workshop at any Bunnings store nationally. These are happening every Saturday and Sunday, and rumours have it additional workshops may be added if there is demand. Bluey-themed scavenger hunts and colour-in stations will be happening in store as well.
Those lucky enough to make a booking will be meeting Bluey and Bingo in person (well, their costumed characters, anyway) at selected stores on selected days. Families who miss out will be able to take a fun family photo in front of the Bluey photo wall.
Remember, all of this is only for the month of February so make sure you get there quick!
