The Bluey merchandise juggernaut continues with the launch of not just one, but six all-new LEGO® Bluey sets for children young and old.
My eight-year-old went into a bit of a frenzy when he read the press release headline: Bluey LEGO®! Now Building . . .
That’s right, as if a house “for real life”, postage stamps, coins and even a theme park isn’t enough, Bluey fans will soon be able to recreate Bluey’s world using LEGO bricks.
The collab you’ve been waiting for
In June 2025, the LEGO Group and BBC Studios will launch six new LEGO Bluey sets across the LEGO 4+ and LEGO DUPLO ranges.
“LEGO® Bluey merges the globally adored world of Bluey with the fun and creative possibilities of the LEGO universe for the very first time,” the LEGO website announced. “We’re aiming to create as many fun moments of imaginative role play and creativity for families as they build, as you can see Bluey and her family having when you watch the show!”
The LEGO sets will depict familiar scenes from the popular animated series, “cultivating even more imaginative play inspired by the Heelers”, according to Julie Kekwick, head of licensing hardlines consumer products at BBC Studios.
Would it feature the iconic Bluey house? Will we see Bluey and Bingo as grannies? What about the ducky cake? There isn’t a lot of information right now, but the team has promised the sets are “inspired by your favourite Bluey moments”.
Fan-built LEGO Bluey
In May 2024, Bluey and LEGO fan Monkey Scout created his very own LEGO Bluey house in an attempt at turning it into an official LEGO set. It even featured eight popular Bluey characters, Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, Chilli, Muffin, Socks, Lucky and Rusty.
You can split the house apart to reveal the entrance, playroom, kitchen and the girls’ bedroom. There is plenty of attention to details and fun Easter eggs including Chattermax, the sticky gecko, above the doorway, building blocks from “Duck Cake”, gnomes Geramy and Tony, and even a hidden longdog.
The set was created using 2395 LEGO elements. According to Monkey Scout, “The brick-built characters are the closest I can get to real LEGO Bluey figures without making custom pieces. These are only placeholders for real minifigures.”
At the time of writing, the set has gained more than 10,000 supporters, prompting LEGO to move his project to the review phase. “If green-lit, this project goes into the longest phase of the project: the development phase,” LEGO promised. “During this time, LEGO model designers refine the product and develop it for release, we create the product materials (box, instructions, marketing), and get everything ready for a production run.”
Will this be one of the official LEGO Bluey sets for sale in mid-2025? Only time will tell.
